Delighted to announce a new addition to the RSMR team...

At RSMR we’re always looking to grow and to provide the very best to our clients, so we’re expanding our team.

A big welcome to our new Investment Research Manager Robert Harrison, who brings a fresh approach and vital experience across the investment spectrum.

Robert’s professional story & what makes him tick…

Robert is originally from the South coast. He studied chemistry at Newcastle university, coming out with an impressive first-class degree. Having gained some experience and insight into the financial world at Hargreaves Lansdown and Mattioli Woods, a keen focus on investment prompted a move to Leeds in 2015.

At Investec Wealth and Management Services, Robert was a key part of the discretionary team, where he managed investments across the Yorkshire region, from junior ISA to multi-million-pound portfolios. Robert completed his chartered exams during this time and, as an extra string to his bow, was an active member of the Group’s Collectives Advisory committees for Alternative Assets and Infrastructure, giving him the opportunity to contribute to the Group’s investment decisions.

With family from Leeds and Bolton Robert had a difficult decision to make early on about which football team to support!  He became a fan of Leeds United in his childhood and still attends as many games as he can throughout the season.

His other passion is for cars and driving. With his very own Panther classic car, passed down from his grandad, he’s always on the look-out for the next big national car event.

There’s sport thrown into the mix too with squash and five a side football featuring on the weekly agenda and Robert can’t resist the delights of Tuscany with its offer of Renaissance art and a good red wine.

Why RSMR?

Robert was drawn to RSMR because of the opportunity to work for a highly professional research company with a great reputation. Development potential was also high on Robert’s wish list. As RSMR has enjoyed sustained success and growth since its creation in 2004 he felt it was a great choice.

The role itself involves investment research and asset allocation where Robert feels he can add value and evolve in the best way possible.

“Managing client relationships and building bespoke models to fulfil their needs is at the core of what I want to achieve here at RSMR”

Here’s to an outstanding 2019!

We’re extremely proud of our research team. They each have more than 21 years' experience on average and hold some of the highest-level qualifications in the industry. With Robert on the team we increase our research capacity and our asset allocation offering, allowing us to reach and assist a greater number of clients. Since helping shape our client’s propositions is at the core of what we do we’re delighted we’ll be able to do more of it!
