Here are the new rated funds from our July review:
The Aegon Global Equity Income fund seeks quality companies with strong long-term fundamentals and invests in companies with strong balance sheets, high return-on-equity, and well-covered dividends. The manager avoids the deep value areas of the market, where yields can seem attractive, but are unlikely to be sustained. The fund’s process has not changed since launch with the same metrics used today within the proprietary to screen stocks in the universe.
The fund positions itself as a core offering that focuses on quality companies and has produced compelling risk adjusted returns since launch.

The CT Global Social Bond fund forms part of the suite at Columbia Threadneedle who are pioneers in social impact investing, with an approach that is different to their peers. The team seek to optimise the benefits for society through the bond market while at the same time not sacrificing a financial return. ‘Impact’ is framed in terms of doing the right thing, looking at the effect of a business on the wider community and society.
The fund is an attractive proposition for an investor seeking global fixed income exposure, providing a suitable risk adjusted return while making a real difference to people’s lives.

The Royal London International Government bond fund invests at least 80% of the fund in bonds issued by governments across the developed markets, not including the UK. The fund is part of a range of fixed interest funds which is one of the most comprehensive in the retail marketplace. It is run by a longstanding team that is high conviction in its approach but also pragmatic in its execution of the strategy.
Overall, this is a solidly performing fund from a team that has a wide range of funds which meet our performance and volatility criteria.
