Sanlam Strategic Bond

The managers had already established an impressive performance track record at Sanlam before their move to Man GLG in October 2018 and the agreement allowed them to take the Sanlam Strategic Bond fund with them. The considered, well-established investment process has remained the same but the move has provided the managers with access to much greater internal resources, particularly macroeconomic and credit analysis, and has enabled them to select from a wider universe of assets, which should be a significant benefit. The fund should be considered as a core fixed income holding, particularly in the strategic bond space.
